There are two sensors in the cabin for the ACC system - only one buzzes that I know of.
The sensor behind/above the glove box measures heat gain from sunlight. It's just a photosensor and I'd leave it alone.
The cabin air temperature sensor is in the dash and what you hear buzzing. It has a little fan inside that pulls cabin air in over a temperature sensor. The fans can get noisy because the bearings get tired, or because they get full of dust. I've seen them very dusty, and that dust also gets onto the temperature sensor and screws it up. As a first try, get some compressed clean air like that used for cleaning camera lenses and stick it into the sensor (with the car off!) and see if you can blow out the dust. That usually works for me. If that doesn't do it, pop the sensor out of the dash, and do the lubrication trick Guy with answers provides.
Good luck!
