Spare vacuum hose coming off manifold

I have an '88 9000 Turbo. The other day I noticed a short length hose coming off a component just below the top of the inlet manifold, just infront of the throttle control. Car is behaving weird at present, sometimes stalling when turning corners, seems PAS is taking revs too low and engine is stalling. Also, my cruise seems to be intermittant in working, but now seems to be inop. If anyone can tell me where this hose is supposed to connect to I would be very grateful.
