1987 9kT.
The high beam, the one you toggle high/low by pulling the indicator stalk towards you, has started acting very odd. Up until last week, it work perfectly normally - pull once for high, pull again for low.
Now, it will only come on if the stalk is pulled towards the wheel 6 times in succession. Yes, that's right, 6 times. Not once, not 3 times, not 5 times. It will switch off on the next pull, as per normal. But to switch it on, it requires 6 consecutive pulls, and comes on at the 6th pull.
Am I missing something, or is this really odd? Does the switch have built-in logic? How can this be?
I have repeated this experiment at least 30 times, and it works every time, on the 6th pull. I've tried to be very consistent with my pulling.
I promise, I haven't been doing drugs, and am not crazy. What the hell is going on???
