Traction Control Problems

As of late I have been having trouble with my TCS. I have a 1992 9000T, 158,000 miles. Under acceleration on a grade in 5th gear the engine pauses and the car goes into limp mode. If the car is turned off and then on again the problem is fixed. It does not happen all the time either. Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated because I am a college student and have to try to fix things DIY before going to the local Saab mechanic. Also any advice on mechanics in the Rockport Mass. area would be great. Thanks,
Jared.
