All the symptoms you describe may not be related. Your heater
core may have a very slight leak, which could be easily rectified
by adding some Bars Leak. However, the major loss of coolant
and white smoke out of exhaust could be a bad head gasket.
If it's the gasket, it'd be a good idea to spring for a new heater
core while the head is off.
