I have mudflaps for both the front and rear wheels on my '96 9000 CS. I think there is only one size for the front, while there are two sizes for the rear. The short ones are not much longer than the ones that came on the car when it was new, sticks down about an inch or an inch and a half. The "mid-length" mudflaps for the rear are about 4 or 5 inches long, and have the word "SAAB" molded into them at the bottom. If you want mud flaps that are effective, get the long (sorry, "mid-length") ones. If your car is lowered at all, you may want to try to get a mudflap that you can hold in place to see if it is going to scrape the road surface on bumps. My car is not lowered, but my flaps occasionally scrape the road on hard bumps.
Not many people get the mud flaps for their front wheels, but they are really effective in keeping the tires from spraying mud and salt on the sides of the car body behind the wheel openings. Of course, if SAAB had designed the 9000 without the body side "tuck-under" at the bottom of the body, all the mud and salt would stay in the wheel well, and mud flaps wouldn't be necessary!
