I've been in the tire business for longer than I care to admit. I've driven a lot of Pirellis of all models, as well as Michelin, Firestone, Yokohama and a host of private label tires. I still think the Bridgestone Eager, which I have on both mine and my wife's 9k's, are the best deal going. They have a substanially wider footprint that just about any other tire, size for size, and a a good firm sidewall, and great dry and wet road handling. I live in the mountains above Denver, and commute 60 miles round trip, so I have a lot of twisty canyon driving, and the Eagers have outshown any other tire I've used. AND THEY ARE CHEAP - $50 from the Tire
Rack. I think because they are so cheap they are overlooked by more serious drivers, which most Saab owners are. A lot of Saabers on this BB
have more tire knowledge than a lot of the dealers I sell to.
