DI appears to be failing

I've been experiencing a random "miss" recently which is worse while accelerating. Today I put in new NGK plugs (last set only had 4k miles) gapped at .9mm and examined the DI for leaks. No leaks.
From what I've read in other posts the best way to determine whether it is the DI is to replace it with a known good unit. Is there anyone near Birmingham, MI who will let me borrow their DI for a test run?
Thanks,
Jeff Augenstein
