Car died in line at a fast food place-got pushed out---I mean died--traced it down to very badly corroded positive cables and that damn multi connector attached to the side of the battery tray. This was after I pried off the connector at the ignition switch and naturally it came apart in my hand. Wires everywhere, nine to be exact. Managed to find the power and attach it to the wire that made the engine run then touched it to the starter wire--got it home.
I sorted out the battery cables and I think it will do for now or at least until I can get some supplies from the electronic store and do it right.
What I hope is that someone out there can help with what wire goes in which slot in the connector. The Haynes manual is a little vague and the wire colors don't quite match mine.
I have the usual letters/numbers on the connector-- X, 15, 50, 30, B, C, C1, 54, 30(again). My wire colors are Red, Black, yellow/white tracer, Green/white tracer, grey/white tracer, grey(thin), green(thin), and two greys.
One of the greys is hot, Like I said I managed to get it to start but don't have a clue as to where the wires should go in the connector. I hope someone has the factory books and can find the right wiring diagram that jives with what I have. Thanks in advance for any help I can get.
Feel free to e-mail me if you'd like.
