If it's actually on the intake manifold, and it actually got sucked in, either it's already gone with no damage (not likely at all) or sitting in an intake runner/wedged somewhere, ready to get sucked in and kill stuff. It will most likely damage your turbo if it goes through. Some companies which produce water injection systems warn that water mist going through the turbo (this is on the intake side, your damage would be on the exhaust side, but still, read on) could have a detrimental effect on its lifespan, due to the fact that an impact between a blade spinning at 150,000rpm and a water droplet (or worse, a bunch of them) is a pretty serious impact. People's turbos have been killed by faulty water injection allowing a few normal-sized drops of water to enter a spooled-up turbo.
I had a friend with an '89 Taurus SHO who had a rubber chunk get sucked through the engine, and it apparently wedged an exhaust valve open because there was a very loud POP POP POP from the exhaust that varied exactly with the engine speed. He said to me, "Think I should try and blow it out of there?" to which I replied, "Hey, it's your car but I'd be careful with a valve wedged open like that." (The car was missing on that one cylinder badly.) He took off at wide-open throttle and the noise suddenly quit and what appeared to be a cloud of dust blew out of the exhaust and he never had another problem again. YMMV, it may not cause engine damage but in all probability, if it actually did go in (think positive) and it does come out someday, your turbo will 99% surely be destroyed.
