I cleaned my AIC with penetrating oil. (A non-namey brand of WD-40 or Zep's foaming stuff) Blew it out with compressed air, but hindsight sez you want to be gentle to it: it's designed to be HIGHLY responsive, which is another way to say "high strung."
Anything that cleans it works. In general, zero residue, or residue suitable for the intake system is the best. Carb cleaner is the safest. Watch your eyes.
