Kind of a tough question to answer as there are a number of things that can go wrong with the fuel distributor which might cause different syptoms.
You would certainly want to check that the airflow vane moves freely, and the whole airflow vane area is clean - it tends to collect oil (pull the big rubber elbow off, clean with carb cleaner or brake cleaner). Pull the injectors and put them in a pan (outdoors with a fire extinguisher at hand, please!) and confirm that with the fuel pump running that you get no fuel flow with the airflow vane at rest and that as you lift the airflow plate (use needlenose pliers to pull up on the center bolt, don't pry around the edges!) you get a smooth increase in the fuel flow out the injectors. All 4 injectors should flow the same amount at any given point - if one is spraying all the time that would indicate a hard failure inside the fuel distributor).
Obviously any air or vacuum leaks anywhere around the intake plumbing or intake manifold would need to be corrected, and this assumes that your basic engine (compression, valve clearances, etc.) and ignition timing (base value, mechanical advance, and vacuum advance) are all set and working properly.
Beyond that, you are back to going step by step through the fuel system service checks using the fuel pressure guages as described in the previous thread this week (I think the title was "fuel pressure" or something like that.
Good luck!
