Probably not as bad as putting in a V-8 but, Posted by tibbidoh [Email] (#1014) [Profile/Gallery] (more from tibbidoh) on Wed, 9 Sep 2009 06:43:35 In Reply to: Re: 72 saab 99 16 valve, Kemosobe, Mon, 7 Sep 2009 22:50:46 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
you will have quite a few issues including rear motor mount (modifying the radaitor and/or the mount itself), location of intercooler (I have seen the front left head lights removed for this and you may not be talking about a turbo anyway), location of the oil cooler, pusher fan, alternator location, shift linkage, water pump fire wall mod., I guess you could get the power steering pump & rack in, but I would just rebuild the old rack, axial length if you are going to use the 5 speed transmission (I would bring over all the drive train & suspension from the downer car if you can because it will improve your braking & handling), what ever fuel system you choose w/ it's associated electronics, and all kinds of little mounting crap + what Kemosobe said.
