I did at one point have a 99T where the exhaust had come apart and fallen on the lambda harness, melting all the wiring for the lambda system together into one mass. It sill ran, but it did not run well. Much happier running after getting all that put back to the way it was intended.
I second the statement that you don't want to try to retrofit a later harness.
