engine trouble running when warm Posted by boot_sequence [Email] (#178) [Profile/Gallery] (more from boot_sequence) on Fri, 6 Dec 2013 11:00:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
my '78 99 starts and runs when cold, but as it reaches operating temp, it begins to "gasp" and slowly lose power. it then has to sit and cool down for about an hour until it will start again. may run for 20 seconds.
things I have done:
-changed coil (used) and checked spark at plugs
-changed fuel filter (new)
-changed fuel accumulator (for a used one)
-loosely looked for vacuum leaks, checked hoses visually
-replaced vacuum advanced module (working)
is there a reason that the Warm up regulator could affect control pressure during operating temps?
could it be a clogged fuel return as suggested by tfherb in another post?
