Yes it does. Pre '74 didn't have a circlip and the drivers could be popped out with a prybar. Six bolts on the flange hold the driver assembly to the trans. The passenger side is alot easier because some of the bolts can be reached from the top. Only remove one side at a time and keep the shims with the driver(don't lose any). There are also o-ring seals for the driver, did you happen to get replacements? Breakdown of parts is below.
