happened to catch a thread about Belgian 99's (apparently the fifth dig of the VIN is a seven). So I had my title out today for some insurance ifo and noticed that the 5th dig. is, in fact "7"! - I guess the issue was that the 99's manufactured in belgium were more prone to corrosion or something?? (- what's that about - did they skip the rust proofing step at Factory Belgium?)

The body on my '77 EMS is in really good shape for being all original - about 99.9% rust free, I'd say. It was delivered first to California, then moved here to Carolina by way of NB and MN. (She's a lucky girl, b/c the body probably wouldn't have survived many mid-western winters.)
For that matter, the sun and humidity here are pretty hard on vintage cars unless they are garaged or covered. Fortunately no salted roads in winter.
