So, no real source for a rebuild kit... Any luck in reuseing the original seals after cleaning out the rust/buildup? Sounds to me like along slow leak in the making. Some posts talk about finding/useing VW parts. Had any luck there?
Yes just driving would've been best. If only my life last year had allowed the time/$ to enjoy keeping the 99 on the road.
