Hot Start Problem Posted by Sepposam [Email] (#2131) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Sepposam) on Fri, 24 Oct 2003 18:01:14 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 78 99 EMS hatchback that I recently purchased on eBay and drove back from Atlanta to Wisconsin (pullijng a trailer , no less). After getting it back I had to have a few things done. But after getting it in good running order, it has one nagging problem, hot starts.
If I drive it and get it good and warm, it will crank well, but not start, with no sign of firing. It doesn't stumble or anything. It just cranks without ever firing. Once it sits long enough, it starts with no problem. We checked it and it holds fuel pressure, so we replaced the injectors, but no luck.
Any hints on solving this mystery would be greatly appreciated. My mechanic is stumped thus far. thanks in advance for your help.
