gas on rear passenger-side floor

I went out to the '72 99E in the driveway after a week of no use and was welcomed by a strong gas smell. It turns out the floor under the passenger front seat down onto the rear floor and also under the rear seat on the passenger side is covered with gas. The front passenger footwell and the driver-side from front to rear is dry.
I pulled up all the carpet and saw that the fuel line runs along the floor on that side where the sloped part of the floor meets the flat part. I can't see any obvious leak, but there is some corrosion. Can I replace just this interior section of fuel line? Does it have to be metal tubing v. specific rubber hose?
Thanks for any help or experience,
Randy
