It would be difficult to judge without knowing the Bosch specs. My guess is the xr-3000 is a substantial upgrade, especially with a high output coil. The PS-60 coil is a high output coil and it would probably fit in the stock location.

An e-core coil could be exciting, and it works with the xr-3000. I don't know how or where you would mount this thing on a 99 though.

I think the Ps-60 with an xr-3000 would give a fairly stock look and be an upgrade. I've heard of an elusive Bosch red coil that may not have ballast resistance. That would look really stock and still give a performance boost. I don't know a part number for it though and I'm not certain about the ballast resistance.
