Front spring compressors Posted by DougM [Email] (#211) [Profile/Gallery] (more from DougM) on Sun, 17 Sep 2006 05:57:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The 78T project is going to need upper A-arm bushings, plus he engine bay is gutted except for the a-arms getting in my way. I've used those cheap-o strut spring compressors(threaded rod with hooks on the ends), but they are just not safe enough for 99 front springs. They also don't seem to compress the spring enough to easily remove them. Last set I did I still had to do some prybar action, and that's not acceptible for this restoration.
Chip Lamb had a unit(scissor type) for sale on ebay a year or so ago, but I missed out on purchasing that item.
Any other sources for one that won't break my bank?
