It will be worth every penny. I have H4 lights in all my 99s and 900s. The 99s are great because you get four lights. With that setup, wired properly, your 9000 with new bulbs will be like driving blind in comparison to the 99. I usually run H4 lights with auxilliary driving lights on 99s and 900s with two headlights (one per side) but on a properly setup 99 with four headlights (two per side) with the H4 and H1 lights I haven't bothered to put auxiliary driving lights on (although they'd be nice anyway!)

I HIGHLY suggest upgrading your wiring or at least inspecting everything thouroughly. There are upgraded harness kits available for $60 to $90 that should basically drop right into any car. One thing to keep in mind is that headlights are designed to run at optimal system voltage which is around 13.8 volts. If you're only getting 12 volts at the bulb with the lights on then you've lost something like 45% of your light output! I've had 900s that register in the low 11 volt range at the bulb. I've also had the plugs on the backside of the bulb melt and corrode when running higher wattage bulbs in 900s (I can't explain the corrosion). The H4 and H1 bulbs, while normally the same wattage as DOT, seem to run warmer.

As for the Hellas, they are a decent system especially compared to the US DOT garbage we get but I like some other lights better. The Hella glass seems fragile (at least on the square 900 lights) but those covers will help that. The pattern is pretty good but I've seen slightly better with other lamps. I really like the IPF lamps and bulbs but they don't seem to make them in the 5.75" round. Cibies are also nice.

You can also get different bulbs for these than just standard H4 or H1 bulbs. The possibilities are endless, just make sure your electric system can handle the load.
