Hello all:
I have a non-running 1972 99 that needs to be towed from the rear. I really can't afford a tow truck at the moment, but I do have a Jeep and a big chain! And the car only needs to go a few blocks.
Where's the best location for the chain? I see the two heavy steel eyelets, but I'm afraid to damage the car when I put some force on the car.
Should I attach the chain (I'm actually thinking of using two chains...one for each side) on the rear axle instead?
Or should I just pony up the $60-75 and have a pro tow it 5 blocks?
Thanks for your suggestions and Go Mariners!
