CAR IS RUNNING! ! ! ! I soaked my original non-lambda fuel distributor in gas and carb cleaner for a couple of days and then put it back in the car. I also cleaned out the 2 lines connected to the warm up regulator and also sprayed carb cleaner into the warm up regulator itself, since that was one area I have not cleaned out yet and the 20 year-old fuel was still in there and it was dirty and gritty. After doing so, the engine is now running without stalling at all. It's not running as smoothly as it should, but pretty darn close.
That's a big step forward for me today, and as I'm sure you all know, I'll need more help to get to the next step. Thanks in advance!
I'm now having a problem where the throttle is not responding to the gas pedal as it should, but it does rev and run at higher RPMs. As I am revving it I see the rubber bellows collapse at times, and it also makes a pop noise from time to time as I am running and revving the engine.
