Transmission problems with this particular car are a big deal.
Good used ones are hard to find and rebuilds are expensive.
Jack Ashcraft in Oregon also rebuild them for about $1800.
Also, take my advice, do not send your transmission to a Sonett guy in Maine to be rebuilt.
He has had my transmission and rebuild deposit for almost 4 years now with no hope of getting either one back. I keep repeating this but since I lost a transmission, a new ring and pinion set and a large rebuild deposit I hope to keep someone else from having the same thing happen to them.
