Don't go getting violent with that wheel puller just yet! The rotor and center section have to come off together (bolted from inside) and then you can separate the rotor. If you haven't gotten a better answer from someone by tonight, I'll copy out the info when I've got my manual in front of me. (I've got Autopress and Clymer manuals, and they both describe this -- can't believe it's not in the factory manual *somewhere*!)
BTW, just to *really* ruin your day, you didn't have to remove the calipers and hoses -- all you need to do is unbolt the caliper (two bolts) and hang it up by a wire inside the wheel housing so it's not in the way. This saves you having to bleed the brakes when you put it back together. On the other hand, if the car's been sitting in a field for years, you may be wanting to replace those hoses anyway!
