I also have a '72 99 1854cc. I replaced the door weatherstripping
with some used in good shape from a 900 in a salvage yard. I
believe that the 99 and og900 have the same size door.
I trimmed off about 2 inches, because the molding didn't
follow the same contours on the doors. I ran into problems
with motor mounts too. I was tightening the right rear one and
snapped the top bolt. I ended up taking the mount out, drilled through
the bolt all the way through the rubber (it stunk) and through
the bolt on the other side. Then I went and got the highest grade bolt
that was the right length and bolted straight through the mount.
I also had a problem with the engine bucking when starting from a stop, so
I was suspect of the front mount, I took out the radiator and
I am not sure if this was the original set up or not but there was long
bolt going through a metal sleeve through the rubber disc mount with a
big round plate on the bottom. It had a lot of play in it.
I took out the sleeve and took about an inch off it, and while I was
working with the mount out I saw a new rubber front mount in the little space between the main cross support and the front shroud thing (really hard to describe) but any way I was stoked I found an original rubber mount. I haven't noticed any difference in vibration or noise.
Good luck
