Like Larry said we probably need more information but if that email you got (from someone?)didn't help here are a few suggestions.
Firstly that container you mentioned that needs fluid sounds disturbingly like your brake fluid resiviour. I say disturbingly because this should not be empty, (as your brakes will stops working soon if they havn't already). Find out what it is and if it is your brakes fill it up immediately. To help work out if it is your brake fluid...The brake fluid resiviour is attached to a large usually black cylinder about the size of a fruit bowl.
As for the running rough part, a good thing to check is your spark plugs. to do this you will need a sparkplug remover, and possibly a bit of fine sandpaper. Instead of explaining how to here i suggest you get a manual, such as Haynes, or Gregories (?) which will explain how to check your spark plugs and what to look for. Buying a saab manual is a worthwhile investment if you plan to restore your car.
