I have a '73 96 with a Weber, single barrel, carburetor marked "TIPO 36 ICH". (As best as I can tell through the crud) This car also has a noisy, clicking electric fuel pump attached to the wheel well and a manual choke. I'm preparing to restore this car this spring, if it ever stops snowing, and have this question: Why is this carburetor/ pump combo there? It doesn't run real well, but I haven't really gotten into tuning it yet. Does this setup offer potentially better performance, or should I install a stock setup from one of my parts cars?
