*CAREFULLY* pull the plug on the side of the distributor (these wires are very fine and fragile) and test the continuity of the coil with a multi-tester.
Hot wire your fuel pump and see if it runs. Make sure you have power getting to the relay from the fuse box. I've had the glass fuses in the fuel pump circuit melt in a place that I can't see they are bad. I've also had a bad connection through the fuse box between the base of the fuse and the spade connector on the under side of the box. I used one off of another car, but there is a better fuse box available as a replacement. I had fuel pump fail one time. I got to work with it, but it wouldn't start when I went to go home. If the pump doesn't work when hot wired, take the trunk floor cover off of the pump and rap on it and see if it starts up.
