Whether the car is a classic or antique depends on alot of different things.
The short answer is no (blasphmey!!!)
The long answer is yes.
If the car is in very good condition and original (ie original engine, fittings and so on) then yes it is a antique and a collectors item, but only to the right person. Unfortunatley the right person can be rare to very rare depending on where you are in the world.
But I would not go as far as to call it an old used car for a number of reasons. I understand that pre 72 99s are fairly rare and unique in that they differ in body, engine and interior to post 72 99s ie chrome bumpers, different interior and triumph engine (urgh) . Hence the car is definately a unique car, verging on being a classic, the only problem being that few people would recognise it as a classic, and even fewer will have the time or inclination to value it as their own. Netheertheless I am sure there are many people on this bb who would value it.
My only personal opinion: Yes it is a classic. Keep it and restore it or sell it to someone who will. The selling part may take a while and you will probably not get much return on it as it is not that much of a classic/antique.
cheers
Justin
