You don't indicate where you are, but in the USA all b-turbo engines were with oxy sensor/lambda. What vintage 99 are you working with? I would use the oxy sensor system, it is not very complicated and makes the car run much cleaner. If your 99 is an earlier vintage the complexity you mention is probably just the CIS injection and the turbo. Make sure you include the oil cooler in your install, the turbo engine needs it. The '80 turbo system is the same as the '78 99T system, the only year 99T imported to the USA.
