K-jetronic (cis) questions

I want to install this K-jetronic I have laying around on my '84 90. (some of you know that I plan to take a turbo along with it) I've got the tank & pump, relay, manifold with everything on it, warm-up regulator etc, all complete. After reading around a bit I'm left with some questions.
#1 Is it right that all the electronics really run through the relay or is there more to it? I mean ecu or something. I've got a strange factory diagram of 1980 or so and it features the fuel pump & other stuff, but no relay at all. I figure that can't be right. It does feature an ecu, but I thought that was ignition, not injection.
#2 K-jetronic of '86 900T does not feature lambda, am I right here? I couldn't find it. The '86 T is where I took the injection off. Also there was no lambda unit in the exhaust.
#3 Are there any electronic problems I should be aware of?? I saw a post somewhere by Justin VA, he said it was really easy, 'almost no electronics', but the thing is if you forget something, the car won't run a bit.
#4 Is fuel pump relay of '86T the same as in 99?? I guess not, as far as I can see it's a different slot in the fuse-box. What if I bought a 99 fuel pump relay and wired it up in my fuse-box??
Well, that's a lot to ask from all of you. I'm still having fun with the project, I have about a house ful of loose parts. Strange how much space these take once they're out the car. Nice to clean them though, and make them seem new. Well, new...
