The rear tires on my 99T did something very strange. They are both warped so that they are no longer round. There is a large flat spot on the inside of the tire surface. I am told they are defective and that the belts shifted (looks that way). Anyone experienced this? They are/were Michelin XGVs or something like that. There is still plenty of tread. The front tires are fine.

I put a set of SPG rims with cooper radials on so I can commute while I find new tires. In case anyone is interested, the 99T looks great wearing SPG rims, but they rub around corners.

I am going to replace all 4 tires and wanted to ask what tire brands/sizes other 99 owners have had good experiences with. This is a stock 99T with the original inca rims. Thanks.
