The caravan to the Saab Owners Convention this year will have multiple groups going to Ohio. Depending on what you are participating in at SOC will depend on when you leave.
If you are tracking your car will we try and get an early group going to Putnam park. Those cars will have to leave either on Monday for a 2 day trip to the track, or a very long one day stint on Tuesday. It will take about 16-17 hours to get to Putnam Park.
For those who are not tracking we have a few other options. We will have a few groups of cars going, a fast group and a slow group. Dependent on what speeds you feel comfortable cruising at, will depend on which group you run in. We are planning on stopping overnight in Carlisle PA so that we can link up with the guys from Central Penn Saab Club. This way we can roll into Kings Island in force.
The main NESA caravan will leave Wed morning, the drive will be broken up so that the first day is about 7 hours. The second day should be 6-7 as well, depending on the speeds we average. Remember this is not a race, and we are figuring times with a 70-75 mph average.
If there are enough people interested there may also be a group that wants to make a straight shot in one day, however this depends on how many people are want to make a marathon drive.
If you are interested please let me know so that we can start figuring out where to place you and your automobile.
