Opinons on buying a rebuilt steering rack . . .

what do you guys think, would a rebuilt rack last a resonable amount of time compared to a brand new one, or at worst case, could a rebult rack be dangerously susceptible to a failure of some sort.
Steering in my car is very soft and vague, and more susceptible to torque steer, braking irregularities, and uneven pavement.
