Yup, and it's a piece of cake. I had the same problem in my '97 900s conv. Broken plastic strip stuck in the motor. You have to get at the motor by (doing this from memory) pulling the carpen back. Seems like there's a bolt or two to get the housing cover off. From there you can remove the rest of the plastic piece from your old mast. Put everything back together then feed the mast back in. It's kind of a tight fit, but doable. Eeuroparts.com has a good how to for replacing this (see link below), it might be more useful to you. If you follow their instructions, don't bother trying to remove the drain hose from the antenna assembly. It won't come off.
