Fellow Saaber's,
I recently picked up a 97 900SE Turbo Convertible ( love it ) and would like to get some advice from you audio experts out there. I have the radio that has (I believe) a second amp driving the front side speakers (6 inch) and rear speakers. I believe the head unit drives the 3.5 inch dash speakers. I want to improve the overall fidelity..I am not looking for killer bass because I am a 40 something guy with wide music taste from classical, jazz, country to classic rock. Am i better off with :
1- Going with a good component set and installing the tweeters in the dash and the mid-range drives in the side or..
2- A better quality 3.5 two way in the dash and separate 6 inch in the side speakers.
I am a fan of Infinity speakers so if anyone can give me some advice based on personal experience it would be much appreciated !!!
For what it is worth I do have a 2 channel 400 w amp that I have never installed in any car yet. Would that be of use ?
Thanks in advance ..
Rick
