'97 900s, 117K, auto
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I was motivated to change the fluid b/c I notice the following:
From a dead stop - give it some gas, car starts moving and there is a noticeble kick when the tranny fully engages. No clunking sounds, but it kinda 'kicks' when you start in first gear - at about 2,000 rpm. Other than that, it shifts and drives fine. Don't know if its placebo, but it seemed a little smoother on the first drive, especially when putting into drive or reverse. Still kicks though. A friend is borrowing the car now for a couple days, so I'll have to wait and see if things improve.
117K on it, and although we've maintained the car well, we have tended to drive it a bit hard at times. (The magnetic plug had a fair amount of sludge on it, but i don't know how much is a lot.)
(I secretely hope the tranny goes so I have more leverage for us to move up to a 9-3 SE or 9-5 wagon).
