Rattling sounds like throw-out bearing. The clutch job is very in-depth and most DIYers would want to try it. I recommend finding a good shop to do the work. Make sure you replace rear engine seal and all trans seals at the same time. Parts can be ordered from site sponsors for less than dealer charges.
