Try lubing the two zinc coated posts (7mm allen head if I remember right) that hold the caliper on. They slide in a rubber boot on the caliper that has caps over it. Clean off any corosion and use special high temp caliper lube. The caliper floats on those pins in the boot and has room to pivot slightly. If you sprayed it with brake cleaner and it has no lubricant, it will not slide and will start to pivot within the "play" of the boot. If it was not sliding for a while, your brake pads will probably have uneven wear that forces the caliper into this pivotted position thus rubbing your rim. You may want to replace the pads again if this is the case because the wear will force the caliper in that same position it is worn to.
