Hi Anders,
I have had the VC off to re torque the head bolts last December- I basically was looking for loose bolts and checked them at 65Nm. I can confirm that they had washers under them and my car was manufactured in March 97.
Since then I have read on this site that I should have loosened one at a time and re-torqued plus the 90degs. Recently, I decided to do it correctly and have purchased qty 10 new bolts for eeuroparts. Funnily enough they arrived today. I would describe the color as a green/gray kakhi color. They have ‘BUFO’ stamped on the heads and raised ‘Torx’ on the sloping head flange over 180 degs. I also can confirm that the washer drops down approx the thickness of the washer. The center one in your picture does the washer drop down?
Cheers - Martin (New Zealand)
