Ran the fault diagnosis on the shiftlock relay. The following was revealed unfortunately I do not know what these numbers indicate:
1. relay socket, pin 31 - Batt- .03 V (desired <0.1 V)
2. Inputs from the gear position sensor is where things get funky:
pin B pin31 results revealed: 0V in P (desired <0.5); 0V in R (desired 12V); 0V in N (desired 12V); 12V in D (within limits); 12V in 3 (within limits); 0V in 2 (desired 0.5V); 12V in 1 (.5V desired).
pin C-pin 31 results revealed: 0V in P (0.5V desired); 12 V in R (0.5 V desired); 12 V in N (0.5V desired); 12 V in D (within limits); 12V in 3 (within limits); 01 V in 2 (2V desired); .01V in 1 (12V desired)
3. pin R- pin 31 revealed: 12 V with brake non-depressed (within limits); 12V with brake depressed (0.5V desired)
Lastly 4. Supplying power to pin 87 resulted in magnet working correctly.
So...Nominal voltages are all over the map yet power to pin 87 suggests the relay is shot. Any thoughts on this confusing post are appreciated.
