I agree that there might be the slightest brake lag (barely noticable), but at highway speeds the rotors should be moving fast enough to throw off any water that gets on them. Liz says there is a 1-2 second delay - that's a lot of time at highway speed. I'm no expert, but a brake lag that severe should only happen at low speeds and when something has caused a lot of water to get on the brakes, like driving through standing water - at least that's the only time I've experienced it. I wonder if something isn't causing an excess amount of water to spray onto the rotors, like a damaged spoiler or something.
Liz, does the car still brake evenly, or does it pull to one side or the other?
