Not if you're CAREFUL when applying the wax. Either work slowly and carefully around the trim or else mask it off with tape beforehand.
Another good trick for prevention is to apply the peanut oil, armorall, mothers-back-to-black, to the trim BEFORE WAXING. This way the wax isn't dry and waiting to absorb anything that comes in contact with it. And if you do happen to hit the trim with a little wax it comes off easily!
