I just completed installing the same Koni/B&G combination to get rid of the sickening dive and squat (a Buick suspension calibration??). The ride is considerably stiffer and more controlled- the dive and squat are reduced to acceptable levels. I would rate the ride somewhere between a late 9000 (nice compromise) and my old SPG (very stiff). Just the Koni's might provide a nice intermediate ride/control compromise.
