Thanks guys for all your input. This is one of my favorite web sites, not just because its about a great car but also about the personalities you "see" here.
Anyway, like I mentioned in my previous post, I had the 2001 9-3 SE for an entire day, which I put over 100 miles on here in Atlanta; really enjoyed the car but just worry about reliability and maintenance cost. The car left solid, handled well, nice peppy engine, the road noise was acceptable but alittle heavy on the wind noise, not enough compartment space but that is a minimal concern. Bimmer, Audi and Mercedes has a "free" maintenance plan for a few years, plus bimmer and audi cover wear items. If the BMW 325is came in a hatch back, well my chose would be that vehicle. I would love to wait for the new audi and saab 9-3 SE but after driving the same car since I left college 12 year ago, ( a wonderful acura integra -over 200,000 miles only one problem steering column leak ) I will find it very difficult to wait another several months, almost a year. I have yet to rule out the 9-3 SE. Like I said I really enjoyed the car, plus the dealership has offered it at $27,900, (manual which I prefer, silver, heated seats, etc.... fully loaded). Also, the bimmer salesperson has a new 2000 323 sport wagon, auto, sunroof, cd, wood, cruise, blue non-metallic and has offered it for $32,000. But I can't see myself driving a station wagon, regardless who makes it. To be honest I'm leaning towards the 2001 325is,(sport & premium package, bose, steel blue or gray, fog-lights). Sales person will let it go for about $35 which is of course considerably more than the 9-3SE($27.9) and Acura TL ($27). I am trying to justify the additonal monies but I'm just not sure if I should. It seems I always, for whatever reason, make my way back to Saab.
Any comments?
