I'm planning to replace my tires by the end of March. I have the factory P205/50ZR-16 Michelin Pilot HX tires. As much as I like the Z-rating, I don't really like the harsh ride. The car handles great and sticks to any surface, but I think the ride is too rough. A few questions:
1) Can I go for a taller sidewall without rubbing? Will I need to have the speedo recalibrated?
2) The '01 9-3s have Goodyear Eagle RS-As. Are these any good? (I think it's the same tires the police use!)
3)Has anybody found a good comprimise tire- quiet, smoother riding, but still fairly grippy and nimble?
4) Has anybody replaced their shocks with something a little higher quality and smoother?
Snow traction is not a concern. Wet weather traction is, but not to a great extent.
Thanks!
