2 types of weather in South FL with the exception of January. Hot and Hotter. Could be the same where you live.

I would

1) apply quality wax on your car 2 times a year to protect from the brutal sunshine

2) use Mobil 1 synthetic oil every 3,000 miles. Also use K & N oil filter every oil change, and lifetime K & N air filter, the best one on the market. You will notice it rght away. Amoco gas is tops.

3) get quality tint for the windows. In Florida, most cars have dark to limo tint all around the windows, cops don't seem to care. It will save on AC costs and your leather seats. Use LLUMAR fil , the best on the market. The only drawback at night is that on dark roads you need to roll the windows down because the darker the tint , the harder it is to see but it takes getting used to it. Ask anyone who has it.

4) use quality leather cleaner for seats 1 time a year.

5) Use a good sunshade when you park your car under the hot sun , it will keep your car from being a hot microwave next time you get in . Your butt, hands and back will thank you for it. Do not use that crap Armorall, it will only crack your dash in the long run.

6) Never use that crap on your tires, the mixture of that and the heat will crack up your tires.

7) Having your engine run hotter, that's a new one for me. If it still bother you cover your car when its out baking in the sun with one of those body covers.

Just a few tips from a guy who babies his Viggen in sunny Florida.
You probably will never use the heated seats. I never had a need for it.
